There are Big Time Shake Ups in Rich’s NFL Week 2 Power Rankings!!!

Rich's Week 2 power rankings arrived two days late, and he is not apologizing. Personal health issues pushed them from Wednesday to Friday, which meant he had more information than usual. He used it. Three new teams landed in his top 10, and the Rams fell seven spots.

Here is the list, with Rich's reasoning.

**10. New York Giants.** Not on the list going in. Rich saw "a stout team, well-coached, physical team," with a defense full of "monstars straight out of football Space Jam." John Harbaugh has them believing, Malik Nabers should only get better, Cam Skattebo has already scored and flipped, and Daniel Jeremiah told Rich that Jackson Dart has clearly taken a step forward. The Cowboys couldn't get Dart off the field. "When I see an offense and defense play like that, I put them on my power rankings list," Rich said.

**9. Kansas City Chiefs.** "They might be too low," Rich admitted. Mahomes looked like Mahomes, Kelce looked like Kelce, K9 looked like K9 and the defense looked great in all phases. The Broncos, meanwhile, fell off the list entirely.

**8. Los Angeles Rams.** Down seven spots from No. 1. "I'm not going to quit them," Rich said. He chalked the loss up to the trip to Australia, and the crew laughed about Sean McVay's apparent vow never to go back. Rich still thinks they are "so damn talented," and they could use Aaron Donald if he plays Monday.

**7. Philadelphia Eagles.** No change.

**6. Chicago Bears.** Up four spots. "I'm done thinking that I just need to see it," Rich said. The Bears "almost 60-burgered Carolina," Caleb Williams looked great and the run game was great. The defense gave up a ton of points but tightened up late, and Rich is betting on Dennis Allen's coordinating to help.

**5. Jacksonville Jaguars.** Another newcomer, after beating "the brakes off the Browns." Rich called them a complete team and circled their trip to Denver: "Oh boy, what a game this is going to be."

**4. Baltimore Ravens.** Why above Jacksonville? The Jaguars did it at home. The Ravens went on the road to Indianapolis and ended the game "basically within 5 minutes."

**3. San Francisco 49ers.** Left off the list last week, a mistake Rich says "has been rectified." Mike Evans was the Hall of Fame beast everyone hoped for in Australia, Brock Purdy looked great and George Kittle was back. Rich also flagged new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, who knows the Rams from his time on their staff, as a wild card.

**2. Seattle Seahawks.** The defending Super Bowl champs stay put. Rich's worry is how long they will be without Sam Darnold.

**1. Buffalo Bills.** Yes, the defense has not looked great. It doesn't matter when the offense is on tilt with an MVP quarterback. "Not even the flu could stop him," Rich said. "A defense that couldn't catch a cold watched a guy with the flu run all over him and throw all over him."

Dropping out: the Broncos, Cowboys, Patriots, Chargers and Texans. "They all lost and were highly disappointing in the process," Rich said, though Houston nearly got Allen when Kamari Lassiter had a chance to end it.

Then came the comparison. While Rich was out, TJ, Colleen and the rest of the crew built their own list, and the top four matched his exactly: Bills, Seahawks, 49ers, Ravens. After that, things split. They had the Chiefs fifth, the Bears sixth (a match), the Rams seventh, the Texans eighth, the Jaguars ninth and the Eagles tenth. No Giants. "Beating that Cowboy defense does not get you points," was the crew's verdict.

The Texans debate ended with the idea that Houston could start 0-2 and be totally fine, since slow starts are nothing new there. The crew noted a Nico Collins issue that may keep him out this week, in a receiving room that is already thin, and Andre Johnson has been talking about C.J. Stroud's body language.

Rich's bottom line: the Texans had a chance and couldn't squeeze the pigskin. "Instead, the Bills are 2-0, top of my power rankings."
