WWE Superstar Tiffany Stratton’s Bold “Tiffy Two Belts” SummerSlam Prediction

Tiffany Stratton walked onto the show already holding hardware, and she has no intention of leaving Minnesota with just the one.

"I'm going to walk out as Tiffy Two Belts. Tiffy Two Titles," Stratton said. "I'm going to walk out as the WWE Women's Champion and the US Women's Champion, and we're going to get Tiffy Two Titles on a T-shirt."

That is the stated goal heading into a ladder match for the interim women's title at SummerSlam, and Stratton is not treating the stipulation as an unknown. She had a ladder match in NXT. She had another at Money in the Bank, which is where she became Miss Money in the Bank and, in her words, where her career took off. "I'm walking in very confident."

The opponent is Jade Cargill, and Stratton's read on that pairing is warmer than most rivalries get. "I feel like me and Jade are kind of like wrestling soulmates almost," she said. "Every time we get together we have these banger matches, and I feel like people kind of don't expect it. I don't know why."

She has heard the groaning about a rematch and she is not interested in it. "So when people are like, ugh, you know, they're wrestling again, it's like, guys, chill out. You're going to get a good match out of us."

There is also a practical benefit to working with someone that strong. Stratton brought up the well-circulated NXT clip of her diving off a ladder and not exactly getting caught, then floated a sequel with a better landing. "Maybe I could do it onto Jade Cargill. She's strong, so maybe she can actually catch me this time."

The Minnesota piece is what turns this from a title shot into a moment. Stratton has wrestled in her home state once before, in the tournament held when the US Championship was first introduced. She won a match, then lost the next one. Now she is returning to that same building with that same championship already around her waist, chasing a second.

"To have it be in SummerSlam, have it be during this time in my career while I also have another title, it's such a surreal moment," she said. "It's like a perfect moment for me."

She also made a claim about the state's wrestling lineage that the desk immediately backed up. "I believe I'm the only female that comes out of Minnesota, which is really cool." The names that got thrown around alongside hers were the Lesnars, the Rick Rudes, the Mr. Perfects and the Verne Gagnes, with a shout out to Chad Gable coming home too. As one of the guys put it, Minnesota is low-key stacked. Stratton's take was that the state gets slept on in that regard.

The one wrinkle nobody at the desk liked was the interim tag on the title, and the assumption that Rhea Ripley will eventually come collect. Stratton was ready for that.

"I don't think I'm just going to give it back to her. That's how that works. No, no, no," she said. "She's going to have to fight me in order to get that title back. I will give her a match. However, I will not just be giving her that title back. I won that fair and square."
