Tiffany Stratton is walking into SummerSlam with hardware already on her shoulder, and she has no intention of leaving with less.

The reigning US champion is part of the interim women's world championship ladder match on August 1 and 2 in Minnesota, and she made her goal very clear on the show.

"I'm going to walk out as the WWE Women's Champion and the US Women's Champion," Stratton said. "Tiffy two titles."

She has reason to like the stipulation. This will be her third ladder match, after one in NXT and one at Money in the Bank, the night she became Miss Money in the Bank and, as she put it, the night her career took off.

"Not a lot of people have had multiple ladder matches within their careers," Stratton said. "That already kind of gives me a leg up from everyone."

So far the only other confirmed name in the match is Jade Cargill, a former WWE Women's Champion, and Stratton lit up talking about her. The two have built a run of matches that keep exceeding expectations.

"I feel like me and Jade are kind of like wrestling soulmates almost," Stratton said. "When people are like, they're wrestling again, it's like, guys, chill out, you're going to get a good match out of us."

She even floated a callback. Video of Stratton diving off a ladder in NXT and not quite getting caught has followed her around. Maybe, she suggested, she runs it back with Cargill underneath her this time, since Cargill is strong enough to actually make the catch.

The venue is the part that turns this into something bigger. Minnesota is home, and Stratton believes she is the only woman on the state's wrestling list, a list that runs through Brock Lesnar and other names the show rattled off with real reverence. She has wrestled in Minnesota once before, in the tournament for the US Championship, and she remembers the crowd being insane.

"To have a full circle moment, not getting that US Championship, but being there for the tournament, and now I'm walking in with the US Championship," Stratton said. "It's such a surreal moment."

Her in-ring style traces directly back to gymnastics, a background she shares with a growing number of women on the roster. Gymnastics teaches body control, rolling and flipping, and the first thing anyone learns in a wrestling class is a forward roll. Stratton said her entire move set is built out of things she used to do in competition, including her finisher.

"I can do my finisher in my sleep," she said, "and that's because of gymnastics."

The name of that finisher is the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and she has receipts for the branding. In gymnastics she was judged on pointed toes and perfectly straight arms and legs every single day, so the version she does now is the polished one.

She also had practical advice for a nervous parent on the panel whose nine-year-old daughter keeps testing the limits of the living room. Take her to an open gym at a gymnastics school, let her flip around, and find a foam pit. Wrestling classes can wait, Stratton said, because those rings do not come with soft mats.

On the Netflix docuseries pulling back the curtain on the business, she is a fan, and she had little patience for the complaints.

"The people that are crying about it online are the people that are also sitting down and watching it," Stratton said. "It doesn't really check out."
