Money in the Bank, Oba's Dominance, Arya's List, Seth Rollins on Pac & More | No-Contest Wrestling

Money in the Bank delivered two new briefcase holders, a title change, a man through the roof of an ambulance, and one stat that made No Contest Wrestling feel very good about itself. TJ Jefferson and O'Shea Jackson Jr. promised before recording that they were going to get riled up. They delivered.

**Tiffy Two Time**

The women's ladder match went to Tiffany Stratton, her second Money in the Bank win, and the hosts admitted a lot of people were shocked. Plenty of fans expected Roxanne Perez to grab the briefcase, and for a moment Jackson thought Lash Legend had it.

The scary part was Stratton's bump. One host said he could feel it coming as she climbed. When she jumped, it looked like the ladder shifted, so she didn't get the elevation and the rotation was off. "Her hitting like that, that splat was audible," one host said. The hosts also pushed back on fans blaming Legend for not catching her. "They will blame Lash Legend for anything right now."

What really bothered them came next. Chelsea Green showed up on Monday Night Raw and lost a non-title match to Perez, one of the show's favorites, who hasn't won a singles match in about a year by their count.

"You're the world champion. You should not be losing non-title match," one host said, admitting, "I'm arguing against one of my favorites." The hosts think both SmackDown champions, Green and Sami Zayn, are being treated like champions who aren't supposed to have their titles. "People love Chelsea," one of them said. "And after a while, they're going to get mad at you treating what they like like crap."

They also congratulated Liv Morgan on winning the women's world title back, which neither saw coming. Stephanie Vaquer, in their view, is "not a transitional champion," and a Becky Lynch feud may be next. With rumors flying that Perez, Breakker or Vaquer was supposed to win, the takeaway was simple: "Things can change at the drop of a hat."

**Roman wins, LA Knight grows**

Roman Reigns beat LA Knight, and the hosts compared it to Stone Cold Steve Austin against Bret Hart at WrestleMania. Hart won, but Austin walked out a bigger star. "If you ever had a question about LA Knight," one host said, "I think he put that to bed because he looked as good as you can look losing."

TJ saw the bigger picture: everything points to Oba Femi versus Roman. "We setting up Oba Roman," he said, and he doesn't think it can wait until WrestleMania. Jackson, the show's resident Roman fan, pitched a creative liberty: Roman, after a year of clean wins, needs the Bloodline to get past Femi the first time, which plants the doubt for a WrestleMania rematch.

TJ also tied Knight's performance to an old Ric Flair lesson. Flair would wrestle an enhancement talent like Mike Jackson on a Saturday morning and still make you believe the upset was coming. "That's how good Flair was," TJ said. As for where Knight goes now, one host wants him on SmackDown, where he thinks the mic talent around KO, Punk and Trick Williams would make for "hella noise."

**Is Oba too strong?**

Femi beat Bronson Reed, shaking off two brass-knuckle punches and a Tsunami. TJ, an NCW Femi loyalist who once said he should beat John Cena, worried out loud.

"They are now making Oba maybe too strong," he said, noting that fans are fickle. Reed beat Roman Reigns and took his shoes, which should keep him at a certain level. And Paul Heyman told him to hit Femi with the Tsunami over and over. Reed hit it once. "You ain't pinning Oba Femi," came the reply.

TJ's fear is the online backlash that dogged Reigns for years after the "make them look strong" talk. He doesn't want that for Femi.

**Penta and the ambulance**

Jackson called Penta winning the men's briefcase weeks ago, and TJ gave him his props. Like most people, TJ thought Bron Breakker was getting it. Instead, Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer onto a ladder and climbed. "He's the man right now," the hosts agreed. "He could win any match he's in."

The plea: don't send Penta to cash in on El Grande Americano in AAA. El Grande "got the people in the palm of his hand." And Chelsea Green should watch her back.

The other big moment was Je'Von Evans going through the roof of an ambulance. The internet asked why. "Because wrestling," the hosts answered, rattling off Kurt Angle's milk truck and Shawn Michaels on a zipline. Their only gripe was the visible wood plank on the roof. "You could use spray paint."

**The NCW stat**

TJ brought a notebook to Money in the Bank, and it paid off. Last week was the podcast's two-year anniversary, more than 100 episodes in. Of the 19 men and women who performed at Money in the Bank, 17 have been guests on No Contest Wrestling. Eight have come back more than once, including both winners, Penta and Stratton. "We had almost an entire card as our guests," TJ said, crediting the small crew of about six behind the show.

**Arya's list and an animation minute**

TJ wore a shirt he made years ago of Arya Stark's kill list, because commenters asked for a Game of Thrones rewind. He picked up a lot of his Twitter following live-tweeting his first watch. His tip for first-timers: turn on the closed captioning, because the names and houses are a lot. That kicked off Jackson's breakdown of the anime war between the dub and the sub. He watches the dub with subtitles on. "I'm the hybrid. I'm a day walker, if you will."

**Seth Rollins on Ben**

Before Seth Rollins left a Rich Eisen Show visit, TJ asked him about the late Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac and Neville. Rollins had not spoken publicly about it, and the show aired his first words.

"He was just like an awesome dude," Rollins said. "He was so funny and so unique, but he was also super loyal and he was down to earth." Rollins first saw him wrestle in Europe in 2007, when Rollins was 21. "I was like, oh, okay. I got to figure something else out cause I'm never going to be able to move the way he moves." He added that Satterley's home was always Newcastle. "Him moving back there and wanting to be there kind of said everything about who he was."

The hosts said Satterley was so good that people took him for granted. TJ connected it to how Bray Wyatt's death hit him. Jackson offered one reason wrestling losses land so hard: football players wear helmets, but wrestlers are fully exposed, and fans watch them grow up in real time.

**Max Caster, Carmelo Hayes and the 946**

The hosts were frustrated by Max Caster being fired over a line in his TNA debut. One host has heard far worse said into a microphone and thinks a warning or suspension made more sense. The other saw layers to it, including the news being fresh and the partnership with WWE, but both hated seeing a talent get in his own way. They also think AJ Francis lost a potential money pairing.

Then the good news: Carmelo Hayes is in the 946. "Melo is money," Jackson said. The crowd lost it when he appeared. Online critics called it a stereotyped group, and the hosts pushed back on the Nation of Domination comparison. Their position: give it time. "Carmelo Hayes looks like he's about to be in the main event of Survivor Series," one host said. "That sounds like a win to me." Jackson's ask is mic time so fans can get to know these characters. And the group's entrance music has to be right.

**Top five slaps**

Jackson closed with his promised list of the top five slaps in WWE history. At five, Shawn Michaels on Randy Orton. At four, Stephanie McMahon slapping Batista's glasses off. Jackson asked McMahon for her favorite once; she said the hardest she ever hit anyone was the Rock at Levi's Stadium. At three, Sonya Deville on Carmella. At two, Giulia on Blake Monroe after a Money in the Bank qualifier, the slap that started the list. And at one, the Rock calling Vince McMahon over to his limo so the driver couldn't hear and smacking "the taste out of" his mouth.

Jackson had a request for next week, and TJ accepted: TJ's top 10 wrestling nepo babies.
