Rich's New 'This Was SportsCenter' Podcast Premieres Friday, June 5th!!!

There is a version of SportsCenter that lives in the muscle memory of anyone who grew up with the channel on in the background, and Rich has been carrying those stories around for a while.

Now he's sharing them. "This Was SportsCenter" is a new limited podcast series premiering Friday, June 5th, and the premise is exactly what it sounds like: Rich and a rotating cast of SportsCenter greats from the early days, trading stories from on air and behind the scenes.

Rich framed it simply in the announcement: "Each week it's going to be me and a SportsCenter great from back in the day sharing stories of what it was like on air and behind the scenes in the early days of the show."

He set the scene for why it matters. You were getting ready for school, or up in the middle of the night putting off a term paper. SportsCenter was on. Rich was there, doing SportsCenter, and by his own accounting, "having the time of my life."
