Rich Hopes He’s Eating a W in Fantasy Football This Week after Adding Jameis Winston

Rich doesn't usually talk about his own fantasy teams on the air. This week he made an exception, because this is the show league, and his opponent is the one man in it he most wants to beat.

That man is Jay Feely. Rich hasn't forgotten the time Feely beat him on the strength of Rico Dowdle and his 200 rushing yards, or the way Feely acted like he had no idea Dowdle was even on his roster.

"Oh, did I have him? Oh, no, I don't know. I had... Oh, wait a minute. Let me look at my roster. I do have him," Rich said, doing his best Feely.

Now the two are squaring off again, and Rich has a problem. His quarterback, Jared Goff, is on a bye. His backup was Justin Herbert, and Rich made it clear Herbert won't be there for him this week. "He's full Magic Johnson," he said.

So Rich went to the waiver wire, and he revealed his pickup the only way that felt appropriate: a Jeopardy-style video reveal.

The answer was Jameis Winston. In the clip, Winston talks about heating up after people questioned whether he could even throw, and about folks once again talking about "the Jameis Winston experience."

"The Jameis Winston experience is now coming to my fantasy football team to beat Jay Feely," Rich declared. "How about that?"

From there, the bit got better. The show cut to Winston at his press conference saying he gets to smile and say he's the starting quarterback, with the graphic finishing the sentence for him: Rip Torn Wormhole, Rich's team. The room's verdict: "That is a scary graphic."

Rich's plan is simple. Winston faces the Saints, and Rich wants him to destroy them, with apologies to Saints fans in Louisiana and to Don, the show's resident Saints fan, who happened to be in the building for No Contest Wrestling.

The revenge is already scripted, too. Rich wants Winston to crush it so that on the Monday show he can return Feely's old act. "Oh, did I pick him up? I didn't know. I picked him up. Huh."

Not everyone in the room was convinced Feely is as clueless as he plays. One voice wondered whether Feely was simply messing with Rich the whole time, and the room agreed he does play dumb. Rich held firm that winning takes skill, too, at least the kind that involves staring at the waiver wire and saying, "I'm going with the Jameis Winston experience."
