Rich & Adam The Call Screener Play the "Win/Loss Game" for the 2026 Chicago Bears

Adam Chudwin did not have to call in to request the Bears win loss game this year, because he screens the calls and was sitting right there. He also had a 12:45 flight, which gave the whole thing a pleasant urgency.

Rich warned him about the audience before they started. All of Chicago is listening. Chudwin acknowledged the pressure and then went out and predicted a 12 and 5 season, so the pressure did not do much.

He opened in Carolina with a win, and with a piece of gratitude. The Panthers, he said, always give him joy, because that was the trade that got Chicago Caleb Williams. He expects Carolina to be good and expects a close game anyway.

The home opener against Minnesota was a win built on a specific doubt. "I don't trust Kyler Murray." Then came the Monday nighter against Philadelphia, and Chudwin took the contrarian position on purpose. The popular theory is that because Chicago beat the Eagles last year, Philadelphia comes back angry and settles it. "I disagree with that." Three and oh.

The Jets required no analysis whatsoever. "I don't really need to say anything for that one." Four and oh.

Green Bay ended it. "I hate to say it, but I think Green Bay gets their revenge." He then called Atlanta a sneaky tough game before pulling away, and gave himself the Patriots at home on a Thursday night, a matchup he is planning his social calendar around. Caleb Williams against Drake Maye in prime time, and if he cannot get there, he and Brockman are watching it together.

Seattle on Monday night was the loss he saw coming from a distance, a game he had said should have been the season opener and is quietly relieved is not.

From there he ran off a stretch built almost entirely on Chicago weather. Tampa Bay comes to town and Chudwin likes the Bears, because Baker Mayfield's team does not play well in that climate. Jacksonville comes to town later and gets the same treatment. He is aware this is a pattern and made no apology for it. He also flagged the schedule honestly. "We have a tough schedule this year, man."

The Saints prediction drew the only real pushback in the room, and it was not about the result. Chudwin's reasoning was that New Orleans is simply not good, which Rich and the crew immediately flagged as a hot take.

Thanksgiving in Detroit was the loss that clearly bothered him most, because it comes with history attached. "We struggle against the Lions. They dominated us last year even though we had Ben Johnson." Rich noted that the game which caused all this, the Matt Eberflus one, is also the game that eventually delivered Johnson to Chicago.

Miami got dismissed with the harshest projection of the segment. "I think the Dolphins are probably going to be the worst team in the league. They're going in the Arch Manning sweepstakes."

Buffalo on a Saturday night was a loss he called brutal before he even got to it. Then the finish, which is where a Bears fan earns the 12 wins. Green Bay comes to Chicago on Christmas afternoon and Chudwin takes the get back. Detroit comes in the following week and he finally beats them. Minnesota closes it out with a loss, which lands him at 12 and 5.

His summary was the honest version of that record. "Exciting season. I'm excited for the offense. A little shaky about the defense." Losing Coby Bryant, he said, was huge. But the ceiling comes back to the quarterback. "I think Caleb has a MVP quality season."

Rich then offered his own number, which he had been forced to produce on the spot the day before on Waddle and Silvy without preparation. He had Chicago at 10 and 7, with Detroit winning the division and the Bears second.

The two-game gap between them is instructive. Rich had the Bears losing to Philadelphia, and he suspects his own comments may be part of why. "I think the Eagles are pissed the hell off, and they're going to be riled up going into that Monday night." He also had them losing in Green Bay and, he believes, to New England. His conclusion was about what Chicago actually has to do to close the difference. "They're going to have to score a lot of points. And that might be the difference there between 12 and 5 and 10 and 7."

Chudwin got one more thing in before the airport, and it was the only piece of genuine scouting in the segment. He flagged sixth round rookie Jordan Vandenburg, who has looked awesome in the preseason and dominated in camp, and who Chudwin thinks could end up starting as a rookie.

Then he revealed he is gone next week too, on an Alaska cruise with his dad, which set up the last laugh. Rich guessed Disney. Chudwin said Holland. Rich, whose show airs on Disney Plus, apologized for the lapse. "I'm not a corporate guy. I'm sorry."
