Powerless Rankings: Top 10 Summer Stories Brockman Is Tired of Hearing About

Rich does Power Rankings on Wednesdays. When he is out, Chris Brockman does Powerless Rankings, and this week's list was pure grievance: the top 10 summer stories he is already sick of hearing about.

He had more than 10. That is the part that should scare everyone.

**10. Brandon Aiyuk's future.** "This guy hasn't played football in like 38 years," Chris said. "He's crashing out on his TikTok and Instagram stories. He keeps talking about the Commanders. Like, they don't want you, bro."

**9. The College Football Super League.** With SEC media days running, Chris compared the Big Ten and SEC to "that couple that you know who keeps talking about getting divorced. Either do it or don't." His point stands either way. "We all going to watch college football."

**8. People being mad at The Odyssey.** Matt Damon was on the show last week discussing the backlash, and Chris has no patience for it. "Helen of Troy wasn't a real person. This is a made up story. You're mad at a movie. Stop it." He also noted the film made $300 million over the weekend, which is a strange way to lose an argument.

**7. All GOAT debates.** Jordan, LeBron, Messi, Ronaldo, all of it. "You like your guy. I like my guy. Let's just live in peace and harmony." Wrestling is exempt, because ratings. When the room did that one last week, the answers came back Ric Flair and Kurt Angle, the latter on the grounds that "he does everything."

**6. The Caitlin Clark flopfest.** He wants the 45 and 10 nights and the logo threes. He does not want the rest. "Less of the whining to the refs and pretending to be hurt when we all saw the video, you didn't get touched." That prompted a counter from the desk, asking where all the WNBA physicality discourse was when Candace Parker got into a full-on brawl in Detroit.

**5. Acknowledging Roman Reigns.** This one detonated the room. "It's been how many years and this guy's still looking for acknowledgement?" Chris asked. "This is the Seth Rollins neighborhood over here." The response from across the desk was a thank you to the tribal chief for the opportunity to do the show, which is exactly the reaction Chris was fishing for.

**4. Anything Bryson DeChambeau and LIV Golf.** "Stop stomping on the grass. I don't care if you meant to do it, you didn't need to do it." His ultimatum: "Either be a YouTube golfer or be a serious PGA Tour player."

**3. NFL players complaining about grass fields.** Chris argued the injury numbers are an even split and offered a tidy solution. "If you really want to play on a grass field, demand a trade to a team that has grass."

**2. Quarterback competitions that will not matter.** "You think the Browns, Vikings, or Cardinals are going to win the Super Bowl this year? Nope. Doesn't matter who the quarterback is."

**1. The LeBron waiting game.** Nobody in the building was surprised. "Pick a team and be done with it. You're not winning the championship next year. You're not winning MVP." Then he closed with the twist. "Hey LBJ, come back home, baby."

TJ's rebuttal was short. Chris is a green loving LeBron hater, and this was always coming.
