“Good Eats!!!” - Rich Can’t Wait to Feast on the NFL’s Juicy Thanksgiving Games Schedule

For the first time in two decades, Rich is not hosting the NFL Schedule Release Show. He claims he is fine with it. Susie has questions.

"Don't normally I'm flipping out about it," Rich said. "Like, come on. Like what else is there to reveal when it's already revealed?"

Susie called the receipts.

"There were times when we would come in before work last few years, and you would literally be like, upset about it, with this voice," Susie said.

Rich admitted the change in his own posture, then explained why.

"You know what it's like now, the schedule release now, because it's to the CBS upfronts, and then it's the NBC upfronts, and then it's the ESPN upfronts, and then it's the Amazon upfronts, and then everybody's got to, everyone's upfront," Rich said. "They're announcing this game, they're announcing that game. It used to be like you had no idea. Now you know what it's like? It's like seeing that movie preview where you feel like you've seen the whole damn movie."

The Thanksgiving slate is where Rich actually came alive. The league has gone from a triple-header to a Wednesday-to-Friday five-game stretch around the holiday.

"The John Madden Thanksgiving special," Rich said. "Basically, they memorialize, we remember John, and we pay homage to John with those Thanksgiving games that are just great. And boy, man, the league has just loaded up that plate like a Thanksgiving dinner."

There is now a Wednesday game before the triple header and a Friday game on Amazon. Rich pointed to the Wednesday game first, because it is happening in his own backyard.

"Suz, I think this is what we're doing Wednesday of Thanksgiving," Rich said. "We're going to SoFi."

The seating preference was immediate.

"There's only one place that I want to sit, where there's a large bottle that's blue and white," Rich said.

That bottle, Susie said for the audience, is Susie's tequila of choice. Also Karen's.

"Jordan Love and the Packers in the home of the Los Angeles Rams the Wednesday before Thanksgiving," Rich said. "It's going to be a lot of green. Some good eats."

The Thursday triple header opens with Bears-Lions on CBS with Nantz and Romo. Rich got worked up.

"Ben Johnson going back to Detroit with the Chicago Bears taking on the Lions," Rich said. "A division game in Detroit. Come on now."

He landed the chant for the back half.

"The Tigers are feeling left out," Rich said. "Lions and bears. Oh my."

The middle Thanksgiving game is Eagles-Cowboys.

"The middle game gets the biggest rating," Rich said. "It always does. Last year it was Kansas City at Dallas. And that game, even with both teams not performing as well as both teams had hoped going into that game, that drew 57 million viewers. And this game, Eagles and the Cowboys, should break it."

The night game is rumored.

"Kansas City at the Buffalo Bills," Rich said. "In the house. The new house of the Bills."

The matchup gives the Chiefs and Mahomes their first visit to Buffalo's new stadium on Thanksgiving night.

"Those teams play some of the best regular season games, best playoff games," Rich said. "Usually the Bills win it in the regular season, as you know."

The temperature reading came from Susie.

"I'm cold thinking about that game," Susie said.

The Friday game on Amazon completes the five.

"Denver at Pittsburgh," Rich said. "Yes. On Amazon. So, man, you remember last year the Bears went into Philadelphia and shocked the Eagles on Prime Video. This game is now back in the Commonwealth on the western part of the state, where I don't know if there is a Four Seasons for Al, but that's going to be lit."

Susie made one last accusation. There was FOMO in his voice.

"I'm not going to lie," Rich said.
