'Dutton Ranch’ Star Hart Denton Predicts Cowboys Go 14-3; Majorly Trolls 49ers

Hart Denton, the Dutton Ranch actor and self-described die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, predicted the Cowboys will go 14-3 and win the Super Bowl, dropping only three games all season while trolling the San Francisco 49ers along the way.

Rich brought Denton onto the show and pitched him the win-loss game, the bit where a guest goes through the schedule game by game until a final record gets "spat out." Rich warned him it was a trap. "You can get caught up in this thing," he said. "In the middle, you're like, wait a minute, I've just predicted no losses here." Denton walked right into it.

He opened by name-dropping. "I recently connected with Jackson Dart," he said of the Giants quarterback. "I like his swagger. I like his moxie." So the Cowboys lose week one at the Giants. That, it turned out, was one of only three Ls Denton would hand out all year.

The wins piled up fast. Cowboys over the Ravens, Texans, Buccaneers. A loss at the Packers. Then a run that got greedy. "It's chaos over there right now," Denton said of the Eagles before declaring a win in Philadelphia. He called a home game against the Cardinals "an easy win," then a road game at the Colts an "easy win" too.

Then came the Niners. "Home for the Niners," Rich set up. "Easy win," Denton fired back, before anyone could finish. Rich pounced. "You don't hear easy win with the 49ers." Denton didn't flinch. "I mean, look, they're just shelling out, you know, we see how that's going over there. Get a hold of your wide receiver room."

Rich knew exactly what he had. "I guess that's the caption. Who's looking for an ass kicking? We just heard it." Denton accepted the consequences. "I'm going to have some 49er players in my DMs, huh? That's all right. That's fine. I'm used to that as a Cowboy fan."

The final tally: losses at the Giants in week one, at the Packers, and at the Rams, where Denton conceded "they got Myles Garrett now, right?" Everything else, a win, including a week 18 revenge game against the Giants. "14 and three," Rich said. "You know what that means? Super Bowl."

"That's what I'm saying," Denton replied. "Things are looking good." Rich's verdict on the whole exercise: "Why do we even play the game? Just give them the ring."
