Attention All 12’s!!! Rich Predicts the Seattle Seahawks’ 2026 Record Will Be…?

Rich predicts the Seattle Seahawks will finish their title defense 13 and 4.

That was the verdict when Rich ran his win-loss prediction game for the defending Super Bowl champions, a segment the crew teased he usually reserves for his accused favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He pushed back hard on the idea he is unpopular in the 12s. The whole thing came up because he had just ranked the top defenses in the league and decided the defending Super Bowl champions deserved their own segment.

So he made it up to them. Rich walked the entire schedule game by game, starting with the opener, a Super Bowl 60 rematch against the New England Patriots in Seattle on the Wednesday of opening week, with the banner raised. He had the Seahawks taking care of business there, then winning at Arizona, at Washington, against the Chargers at home, and against the San Francisco 49ers to start 5 and 0.

The reasoning leaned on a pattern Rich kept coming back to. What Seattle does better than almost anybody, he argued, is travel East Coast to someone else's house for a 1:00 Eastern kickoff and win. "That's all they do is win on the road on the East Coast," he said while charting the trip to Washington.

The losses came in clusters he could see coming. He pegged a short-week game at Denver as Seattle's first loss, then handed a home loss to the Chicago Bears on a Monday night, a team he feels "very up high about" this year. The 49ers get Seattle in week 12, Rich predicted, because San Francisco will be too prideful after losing to the Seahawks in the playoffs and at home the previous year. The season closes with a loss to the Rams.

Add it up and Rich landed on 13 and 4, splitting with both San Francisco and the Rams for a 4 and 2 division mark. That would not be enough for the one seed, he conceded, "not unless the Rams go 14 and three." He thinks they might. "I think Seattle's that good defensively and I think they're just going to be a sneaky good title defense team because they're not respected to the tune of 13 and four by a host like me," Rich said. The ironic kicker, he noted, was that he finished the segment at 12 minutes past the hour.
